ORDER OF MERIT 2016

The final result of this years competition for the Bill Weekes Trophy were:-

East Brighton 55,  Brighton & Hove 44.5,  Dyke 41,  West Hove 38.5

Captains' Putter 2016

The 'Putter' itself made its first appearance for some years at Brighton and Hove yesterday. In beautiful August sunshine the home squad of Steve Rooney, Colin Crookes, Chris Gill, Peter Buckingham and Pat Coghlan were lead to victory by skipper John Mitchell with a total of 158 from East Brighton on 156. The President's Salver was won by David Abercrombie of East Brighton with 28 points.

For the Pro prize there was a close finish with Brad Harris of Dyke GC and Anthony Killik  of the home club going to a sudden death play-off when Anthony won on the 19th hole.

Brian Drew of Brighton and Hove played well on his home track to just 'pip' Gary Salt (West Hove) on the very last hole by 1 point with 35 to be victorious in the Secretaries Trophy.....well done Brian.

MIXED CUP 2016

DYKE WIN MIXED at WEST HOVE

A temporary format was employed for this year's event with clubs playing only 18 holes on an 'all scores to count' stableford basis. West Hove supplied a very well presented course and even better weather!.

The Dyke squad came out top with West Hove runners up for The Plate. Scores were:-

 Dyke 173, West Hove 161,   East Brighton 148,   Brighton & Hove 133.

A first class buffet meal was enjoyed by all in the evening.
